An Inspired Advent: Day 11

Nanette Webb Fabric Inspiration Patterns Styles

This is the time of year when lights and garland are draped over mantles and railings, ornaments are hung on trees, decorations placed wherever room is found, cookies and breads are constantly baking, gifts are bought and wrapped, houses are cleaned top to bottom…

That’s a lot to do! The holidays always seem incredibly stressful; always something else to do, and never enough time to do everything. When I feel overwhelmed, I usually just need to take a break.

For today’s Inspired Advent, I am giving myself a gift: time to do something nice for myself.

And underwear!

These are Ohhh Lulu’s Grace Panties, the pattern I always make. And they match my birthday bra! (I cut everything out, and never finished them.) I’ve made so many pairs of this same pattern, I can go over two weeks without doing laundry. I love this pattern! But I’d like to try something new. I actually cut out three pairs of Cloth Habit’s Watson Bikini Bottoms, but was not having an easy time with them. Here are three pairs all cut out:

Sadly, these undies weren’t meant to be just yet. That’s another wonderful gift: a break.

My New Year’s resolution is to get better at sewing with knits.
