These are Schmetz' chrome coated, professional grade needles that resist heat and wear. The needle stays cooler with less stitch distortion as thread passes through the eye with less resistance than normal needles.
Ball point needle with made especially for sewing on knits, as it does not damage or break knit fibers. Useful for knit (jersey and interlock) and some stretch fabric (elastic or activewear).
Micro fibers, polyester, silk, foils, artificial leather, coated materials.
